    Coronavirus pandemic:  9405 active in Nigeria as 2930 patients die in USA

    Nigeria reports lowest cases of Coronavirus pandemic

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria  Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  161 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country   to 205, 926.

    But out of the 205, 926 confirmed cases, 193, 798  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 723 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9405 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 3 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 161 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 45,  Kaduna – 32,  Ondo – 28,  Kwara -12,  Rivers – 11, Edo- 8,  Ekiti – 5,  Niger – 5, Zamfara – 5, Plateau- 4, Nasarawa – 3, FCT – 2,  Oyo -1:  205, 926 confirmed; 193, 798 discharged; 2, 723 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 234,134,346 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 4,789, 367 patients are no more, while 6, 259, 865, 369 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 43,548, 632 all time cases, while 699, 647 patients have passed on(103, 365 new and 2930 deaths*), followed by India, which has registered 33, 766,  707 all time cases and 448, 339 deaths(26, 727 new and 277 deaths*)  and Brazil with 21,427, 073  all time infections, while 596, 749 patients have kicked the bucket(27, 527 new and 627 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 878, 467  confirmed cases, while 137, 170 lives are no more(34, 671 new and  127 deaths*) and Russia, now reporting 7, 425, 057 all time cases and 204, 424 deaths(23, 953 new and 875 deaths*) and Turkey , which has documented 7, 153, 527 all time cases while 64, 037 patients could not make it alive(28, 873 new and 210 deaths*).

    France which has come up  as the 7th country most hit, reporting  7, 110, 963 all time infections(4935 new and  50 deaths*), while 117, 523 others are no more, followed by Iran with 5, 601, 565 all time infections and 120, 663 death(14, 525 new and 235 deaths*)and Argentina which has reported 5, 256, 902 all time infections, while 115,179 patient have passed on(1641 new and  49 deaths*).

    Spain has come up as the 10th country most hit, reporting  4, 961, 128 all time infections and 86, 463 deaths and  South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has documented 2, 904, 307 all time cases and 87, 705 deaths (1635 new and 78 deaths*).
