    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 674 cases 8 deaths, Brazil 1064 deaths

    Coronavirus: Nigeria reports 674 cases 8 deaths
    The Government of Ekiti State, through the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mrs. Iyabode Fakunle-Okieimen took delivery of two amphibious dredgers at the state capital, Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday. The multi-purpose dredging machine is suitable for wetland, shallow water, and deep water operation.

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 674 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 185, 267. But out of the 185, 267 confirmed cases, 167, 923 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 244 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 15, 100 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.#coronavirus

    “NCDC: 674 new cases of #COIVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 355,  Rivers- 87,  FCT- 38,  Ogun – 33,  Akwa Ibom – 32, Oyo – 32,  Edo – 22,  Ekiti – 20, Kwara – 17, Delta – 12,  Bayelsa – 8, Gombe – 5, Kaduna – 4, Osun – 4,  Enugu- 2, Nasarawa – 2, Plateau – 1: 185, 267 confirmed;  167, 923 discharged; 2, 244 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 209, 829, 314 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 4, 400, 180  patients are already dead, while  4, 822, 260, 047  doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 37, 271, 198 all time cases, while 624, 910  patients have passed on(132, 439 new and 566 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 32, 322, 258 all time infections, while 433, 049 lives have been wasted by the virus(36, 401 new and 530 deaths*) and Brazil which has  registered 20, 457, 897 all time cases, while 571, 662  patients are no more(41, 714 new and 1064 deaths*).

    France remains the 4th country most hit by the virus, reporting 6, 635, 417 all time cases, while 113, 366 patients have passed on(25, 595 new and 138 deaths*) and Russia which has reported 6, 592, 705 all time cases, while 170,716 patients have died(20, 459 new and 768 deaths*) and the United Kingdom with 6, 422, 292 all time cases, while 131, 690 patients have died(36, 352 and 113 deaths*).

    Turkey is the 7th country most hit, reporting 6, 157, 742 all time infections, while 53, 891 patients have died(19, 320 new and 216 deaths*) , followed by Argentina, which has documented 5, 106, 207 all time cases, while 109, 652 patients have passed on(9764 new and 247 deaths*) and Colombia, which has reported 4, 877, 323 all time cases, while 123, 781 lives are no more(3154 new and 93 deaths*).

    Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 758, 003  confirmations, while  83, 004  patients are no more(12, 445 new and 121 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 652, 652 all time infections while 78,694 patients have passed on(13, 671 new and 417 deaths*).
