    Coronavirus: Nigeria lists 48 new 3516 active as cases worsen in the US

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 48 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 61,930.

    But out of the 61,930  all time cases, 57,285 patients have been  discharged, while 1,129  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3, 516 active cases of Coronavirus, #Coronavirusngr.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-18,  Abuja-13,  Kaduna-6, Rivers-5, Ogun-5 and Ondo-1, making a total of 48 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDCgov48 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-18,  FCT-13,  Kaduna-6, Rivers-5, Ogun-5 and Ondo-1; 61,930 confirmed 57,285 discharged 1,129 deaths”, the NCDC said in a statement

    Coronavirus cases currently stands at 42, 461, 399 globally,  1, 147, 479 patients have died while 28, 633,996 others have recovered. There are currently 12, 679, 924 active cases of Coronavirus globally, based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 8,563,540 all time cases,  224, 720 deaths and 3, 375, 427 recoveries, leaving the United States with 4, 963, 393 active cases of the virus(104,986 new cases), followed by India, which has documented 7,814, 682 cases over time, 117, 956 patients have died,  7,016, 046 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 680, 680 patients hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(53, 370 new cases), and Brazil which has reported 5,353,656 cases over time,  156, 471 deaths, while 4, 526, 393 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 670,792 active cases of Coronavirus(30, 026 new cases).

    Russia remains as the 4th country worst hit, reporting 1, 487,260 all time cases, 25, 647 patients are already dead, while  1, 125, 155 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Russia with 336, 458 patients in need of medical attention to get back on their feet(16, 260 new cases), followed by France, which has documented  1, 084, 659 all time cases,  34, 536 patients have passed on while 113, 636 others have recovered, leaving France with 936, 487  active cases of Coronavirus(626 new cases) and Argentina with 1, 069,368 confirmed cases,  28, 338 patients are no more, while 866, 695 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with 174, 335 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 718 new cases).

    Spain has come up as the 7th country worst hit with 1,046,  132 all time cases,  34, 752 deaths and about 150, 376 recoveries, leaving Spain with 861, 004 patients hoping for the best of medical care to regain their health, followed by Colombia with has reported 998, 942 confirmed cases,  29, 802 deaths while  901, 652 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Colombia with 67,488  active cases of Coronavirus(8, 672 new cases) and Peru, which has documented 883, 116 confirmed cases,  34, 033 deaths and 800, 840 recoveries, leaving Peru with 48, 243 active cases of Coronavirus(3, 240 new cases).

    Mexico stands as the 10th country most affected with 880, 775 all time cases, 88, 312 patients have passed on while  740, 934 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Mexico with 51, 529 patients hoping for the best of medical care to keep living(6,604 new cases), followed by the United Kingdom, which has reported  857, 041 all time cases,  44, 835 deaths, while 2, 664 others have recovered, leaving the United Kingdom with 809, 542 patients still down with the ailment hoping for the best of care to regain their health(23, 037 new cases), followed by South Africa which has documented  714, 246 all time cases,  18, 944 deaths, while 644, 641 patients have regained their health, leaving South Africa with 50, 661 active cases of the virus(3, 731 new cases).

    Italy remains the 14th country most hit with 504, 509 confirmations,  37, 210 deaths and  264, 117 recoveries, leaving Italy with 203, 182 active cases(19, 640 new cases) and China now 53rd country most hit with  91, 113 all time cases, 4, 739 deaths and  85, 962 recoveries, leaving China with 412 active cases of Coronavirus.
