LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 162 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases in the country to 62,853.
But out of the 62,853 all time cases, 58,675 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,144 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3034 active cases of Coronavirus, #coronavirusngr.
Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Gombe-54, FCT-35, Lagos-26, Ogun-12, Plateau-10, Rivers-10, Kaduna-4, Ekiti-3, Edo-2, Osun-2, Bayelsa-1, Imo-1, Ondo-1 and Oyo-1, making a total of 162 new cases of Coronavirus.

There are now 45, 866, 380 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally, 1, 192,684 deaths, while 29, 800,442 patients have survived the pandemic. There are currently 14, 873, 254 active cases of Coronavirus worldwide based on the current statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 9, 098, 300 confirmed cases, 230, 194 deaths, while 3, 578,452 patients have been treated and discharged, leaving the United States with 5, 289, 654 active cases of Coronavirus(83,038 new cases), followed by India which has documented 8, 137,119 all time cases, 121, 641 deaths while 7, 432, 829 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 582, 649 active cases of Coronavirus(48, 268 new cases) and Brazil which has reported 5, 516, 658 confirmed cases, 159, 477 deaths while 4, 987, 435 others have recovered, leaving Brazil with 369, 746 active cases of Coronavirus(22, 282 new cases).
Russia is next as the 4th most afflicted country, reporting 1, 606,267 all time cases, 27, 787 patients are already dead, while 1, 208,440 patients have regained their health, leaving Russia with 370, 040 active cases of Coronavirus(17, 834 new cases), followed by France with 1, 377,366 all time cases, 36, 605 patients have been killed by the virus, while 122, 224 others have been treated and discharged, leaving France with 1, 218, 537 patients still sick, hoping for the best of medical care to recover from the ailment(49,513 new cases) and Spain with 1, 185, 678 confirmed cases, 35, 878 patients are no more, while 150, 376 others have since been treated and discharged, leaving Spain with 999, 424 patients sick and hoping for the best of medical care to keep living.
Argentina has come up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 1,157, 179 all time cases, 30, 792 patients are already dead, while 961, 101 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Argentina with 165, 286 active cases of Coronavirus(13, 379 new cases), followed by Colombia with 1, 053, 122 all time cases, 31, 421 deaths and 95, 870 recoveries, leaving Colombia with 925, 831 active cases of Coronavirus(5,067 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has documented 1,014, 793 all time cases, 46, 645 deaths while only 2, 839 patients have been able to survive the ailment , leaving the UK with 965, 309 patients still sick, hoping for the best of medical care to overcome their predicament(21, 919 new cases).
Mexico remains the 10th country most affected with 918, 811 confirmations, 91, 289 patients have passed on, while 774, 567 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Mexico with 52,955 active cases of Coronavirus(6,000 new cases) and South Africa, now the 11th country most hit, reporting 725, 452 confirmations, 19, 276 deaths and 654, 182 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 51, 994 active cases of Coronavirus(1, 770 new cases) and Italy, 12th most afflicted, reporting 679, 430 confirmed cases, 38, 618 patients are already dead, while 289, 426 others have been treated and discharged, leaving Italy with 351, 386 active cases of Coronavirus(31, 756 new cases).
