    Coronavirus kills 8 patients in Nigeria, 335 in United States

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 20 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to  213, 147.

    But out of the 213, 147 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic,  205, 732 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 968 others could not make it  alive, leaving Nigeria with 4447 active cases, while 8 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 20 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Kaduna -9, Katsina – 4, Lagos -4,  FCT -3; 213, 147 confirmed; 205, 732 discharged; 2, 968 deaths”, NCDC has announced.

    There are now 253,264,853 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 099,831 patients are already dead, while  7,462, 370, 009 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins  University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country worldwide, now reporting  47, 064,  901  all time cases, while 763, 057 lives have perished(13, 471 new and 335 deaths#), followed by India which has documented 34, 437, 307 all time cases, while  463, 530 other patients could not make it alive and Brazil, which has registered 21,953,838  all time cases and 611, 222 deaths.

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit by Coronavirus, with 9, 608, 483  all time cases, while 143,337 patients have perished(36, 128 new and 63 deaths#), followed by Russia, which has documented 8, 918, 926  total cases of Coronavirus, while 250,609 patients are no more alive and Turkey, now reporting 8, 410, 136  all time infections and 73, 531 deaths(21, 624 new and  189 deaths#).

    France  continues as the 7th country most hit by Coronavirus, now reporting 7, 389,989 all time infections, while 119,102 patients could not make it alive(12, 496 new and 17 deaths#), followed by Iran, which has registered  6, 037,718 all time  cases, while 128,167  patients have passed on(6143 new and 125 deaths#)  and Argentina, which has  reported 5, 305, 151  all time cases and 116, 228 deaths.

    Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting  5,047,156 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 87,673 patients have perished and South Africa, which has registered 2, 925,677  total confirmations and 89, 746 deaths.
