    Coronavirus kills 5,645,487 globally as Nigeria lists 72 cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 72 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 252, 912.

    But out of the 252, 912 cases,  228, 632 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 134 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 21, 146 cases.

    “NCDC: 72 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 22,  FCT – 13, Rivers – 8, Oyo -7, Yobe – 7, Osun -6,  Delta -3, Kaduna -3, Nasarawa – 2, Kano -1: 252, 912 confirmed; 228, 632 discharged, 3, 134 deaths”, the NCDC has announced

     There are now 368, 605,333 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  5,645,487 patients are now dead, while 9, 911, 763, 931 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 73, 730, 844  all time cases, while 880,955 patients have passed on, followed by India, which has documented 40,622,709 all time cases and 492, 327 deaths and Brazil, which has documented 24,789, 795 total cases, while 625, 390 others could not make it alive.

    France  remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 18, 596, 157 total infections and 131,271  deaths, followed by the United Kingdom, which has reported  16, 446, 752 total cases, while 155, 839 lives could not make it alive and Turkey which has documented 11, 343,693 all time infections, while 86, 871 patients have perished as a result of the pandemic.

    Russia has been pushed down to the 7th spot among countries most hit, reporting 11,314,707 all time cases and 322,796 deaths, followed by Italy, now reporting 10, 683, 948 total cases, while 145,537 lives have perished and Spain with 9,779, 130  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 92, 966 patients could not make it alive.

    Germany remains the 10th country most afflicted, reporting  9, 516, 479 total cases while 117, 560 patients have perished and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has registered 3, 598, 288 total cases and 94,784 patients are no more alive.
