    Coronavirus: India confirms 3,998 deaths, 42,015 cases, Nigeria 238

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 238 new cases of Coronavirus in the country, bringing all time cases to 170, 122. Out of the 170, 122 confirmed cases,  164, 741 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 130 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 3251 active cases of Coronavirus, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 238 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 181, Akwa  Ibom – 45, Oyo – 8,  Ogun -2, Ekiti – 1, FCT – 1: 170, 122 confirmed; 164, 741 discharged; 2, 130 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 191, 800, 548 million cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide,  4, 123,206 patients have passed away, while 3, 711, 361, 545 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 34,210, 391 all time cases, while 609, 797 patients are no more(46, 418 new cases and 334 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 31,216, 337 all time cases, while 418, 480 patients are no more(42,015 new cases 3,998 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 19, 419, 437  all time cases and 544, 180   deaths(27, 592 new and 1877 deaths*).

    France has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 5, 973, 880 all time cases and 111, 737 casualties (21, 577 new and 22 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has reported 5, 955, 089 confirmations, 148, 229 deaths(23, 164 new and 772 deaths*) and United Kingdom which has documented 5, 586, 263  total cases, while  129, 182 lives have been wasted by the pandemic(44, 148 new and 79 deaths*).

    Turkey has come up as the 7th country most affected, reporting 5, 546, 166  all time cases, while 50, 650 patients have passed on(8780 new and 46 deaths*), followed by Argentina which has reported 4, 784, 219  all time cases, while 102,381 patients are no more(15, 077 new and 426 deaths*) and Colombia, which has registered 4, 668, 750 confirmed cases, while 117,131 patients are now dead(12, 829 new and 378 deaths*).

    Italy has come up as the 10th country most hit, now reporting 4, 297, 337 all time cases, while 127, 905 patients are no more(4254 new and 21 deaths*) and South Africa which has registered 2, 327, 472  confirmed cases and 68, 192  total deaths (16, 240 new and 516 deaths*).
