LAGOS, Nigeria – Globally , there are now 339, 823, 822 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, 5, 571, 515 patients could not make it alive, while 9, 738, 321, 744 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 69, 120, 756 all time cases and 859, 676 deaths(898, 764 new and 3048 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 38, 218, 773 total infections, while 487, 693 lives have perished(317, 532 new and 491 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 23, 425, 392 all time cases of Coronavirus, while 622, 125 patients could not make it alive(195, 541 new and 322 deaths#).
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 15,716, 732 all time cases and 153,708 deaths(107, 186 new and 332 deaths#), followed by France, which has reported 14, 285, 306 patients are no more, while 129, 105 patients could not make it alive and Russia, which has documented 10, 754, 905 total cases, while 317, 523 patients could not make it alive(38, 508 new and 671 deaths#).
Turkey remains the 7th country most afflicted with 10, 736, 215 all time cases and 85,419 deaths(142, 528 new and 342 deaths#), followed by Italy, which has reported 9, 418, 256 all time cases, while 142, 590 others have perished(198, 865 new and 385 deaths#) and Spain with 8, 834,363 total infections and 91, 599 deaths(157, 447 new and 162 deaths#).
Germany continues as the 10th country most hit with 8, 397, 340 registered cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 116, 372 patients could not survive the pandemic(134, 432 new and 193 deaths#) and South Africa which is the most afflicted country in Africa.
