LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 163 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 251, 341.
But out of the 251, 341 total cases of the pandemic, 224, 939 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 116 patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 23, 286 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 6 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 163 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 59, FCT-33, Delta -16, Kaduna – 13, Gombe – 12, Osun, 12, Ogun -4, Ekiti -3, Oyo -3, Rivers -3, Borno -2, Imo -2, Nasarawa -1; 251, 341 confirmed; 224, 939 discharged; 3, 116 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 332, 796, 436 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 551, 948 patients are no more, while 9, 684, 040, 322 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 67, 172, 295 all time cases, while 853, 536 patients have passed on(846, 134, new and 1875 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 37, 618, 271 total cases of infections, while 486, 761 patients are no more(238, 018 new and 310 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 23, 089, 515 all time infections and 621, 478 deaths(74, 387 new and 151 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 15, 501, 373 total cases and 153, 015 deaths(95, 972 new and 444 deaths#), followed by France with 14, 300, 829 total cases of infections, while 127, 975 patients could not make it alive(12, 357 new and 3 deaths#) and Russia, now reporting 10, 682, 826 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 316,168 patients have passed on(30, 959 new and 673 deaths#).
Turkey is the 7th country most hit, reporting 10, 593, 687 total cases of infections, while 85, 077 others have perished(134, 493 new and 319 deaths#), followed by Italy with 9, 018, 425 total cases of infections, while 141,825 patients are no more(228, 123 new and 434 deaths#) and Spain, which has reported 8, 515, 975 Coronavirus cases and 91, 277 deaths(91, 472 new and 284 deaths#).
Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 8, 140, 393 confirmed cases, while 115,916 lives have perished(94, 821 new and 210 deaths#) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa.
South Africa has documented 3, 564, 578 total cases of infections, while 93, 571 patients could not make it alive(3657 new and 120 deaths#).
