    Coronavirus: USA lists 109, 525 as daily cases hit 747 in Nigeria

    LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 747 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to  176, 011. But out of the 176,011 cases,  165, 208 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2, 167 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9536 active cases of Coronavirus, while 4 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    NCDC: 747 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 488,  Akwa Ibom – 121,  Oyo – 29, Rivers – 25, Ogun – 15, FCT – 13, Kaduna – 13, Kwara – 11, Ekit – 10, Osun – 10,  Edo – 6, Abia – 3, Anambra – 2, Plateau – 1; 176, 011 confirmed; 165, 208 discharged; 2, 167 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 200, 046, 509 confirmed cases of Coronavirus globally,  4, 253,059  patients are no more, while  4,263,799, 236 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 35,314,746 all time cases, while 614, 769 patients are no more(109, 525 new 573 deaths*), followed by India, which has reported 31,769, 132  all time cases, while 425,757 lives are no more(42, 625 new and 562 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 19, 985, 817  all time infections, while 558, 432  patients are no more.

    Russia has come up as the 4th country most afflicted, reporting 6, 274, 006 all time cases, while 159, 032 patients have been killed by the pandemic(22, 053 new and 769 deaths*), followed by France with 6, 270, 504 total cases and 112, 215 deaths(27, 935 new and 31 deaths*) and  United Kingdom with 5, 980, 697  confirmed cases, while  130, 298 patients have passed on(29, 140 mew and 120 deaths*).

    Turkey is still the 7th country most hit, reporting 5, 822, 487  all time infections, while 51, 767 patients are no more(51, 654 new and 248 deaths*) and Argentina with 4, 961, 880 all time cases, while 106, 447  lives have been wasted by the virus(14, 850 new and 402 deaths*) and Colombia, which has documented 4, 807, 979 all time cases, while 121,484 patients are no more alive(6929 new and 268 deaths*).

    Spain has registered 4, 544, 576  confirmations and 81, 847 deaths(21, 266 new and 74 deaths*) and South Africa  which has reported 2, 484, 009 all time infections, while 73, 415 patients  are no more(13, 263 new and 423 deaths*).
