    Coronavirus:  Active cases in Nigeria now 9107 as new cases drop to 55, 810 in USA

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has conformed 210 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 204, 201. But out of the 204, 201 confirmed cases, 192, 421 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 673 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9107 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.

    “NCDC: 210 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria;  Lagos – 79, Edo – 20,  Anambra – 19,Rivers – 18,  Ondo – 15,  Gombe – 14,  Oyo – 13, Kaduna -11,  Ekiti – 8,  Delta – 6, FCT – 5,  Bayelsa -1,  Kano -1; 204, 201 confirmed; 192, 421 discharged;  2, 673 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

    There are now 231, 415, 298  confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,741, 801  patients are already dead, while 6, 072, 113, 586 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered  worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 42,893, 199 confirmed cases, while 687, 670  patients are no more(55, 810 new and 775 deaths*) followed by  India, which has documented  33,624,419 confirmed cases, while 446,658  patients have kicked the bucket(29, 616 new and  290 deaths*)and Brazil which has reported  21,327,616  all time cases of the pandemic, while 593, 663 patients are now dead(19, 438 new and 699 deaths*).

    The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting  7, 667, 290 confirmed cases, while 136,465  lives have been lost to the pandemic(37, 039 new and 129 deaths*), followed by Russia which has reported 7, 291, 097  all time cases, while 199, 450 lives have perished(21, 583 new and 806 deaths*) and France which has documented  7, 080, 675 all time cases, while 117, 157 lives have been lost(5370 new  and 13 deaths*).

    Turkey remains the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 013, 609 confirmed cases, while 62, 938 patients have perished(26, 145 new and 193 deaths*),  followed by Iran with 5, 519, 728  all time cases, while 119,082 patients are no more(10, 843 new  and 290 deaths*) and Argentina, which has reported 5, 248, 847  all time cases while 114,828 patients are now dead(1849 new and 56 deaths*).

    Colombia remains the 10th country most afflicted by the Coronavirus pandemic, reporting 4, 948, 513 all time cases, while 126,068 lives have been wasted(1702 new and 36 deaths*) and South Africa with 2, 895,976 all time infections, while 87, 001 lives are no more, following the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic(1634 new and 34 deaths*).
