    Coronavirus kills 3316 patients in Brazil as Nigeria reports 48 new cases

    LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 48 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 162,641. But out of the 162,641  total confirmed cases,  150,466 patients have been treated and discharged, while  2,049  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 10, 126 active cases of Coronavirus while one patient died in the last 24 hours.

    Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Lagos-13, Kaduna-7, Nasarawa-7, Kano-6, Kwara-5, Ondo-4, Akwa Ibom-3 and Osun-3, making a total of 48 new cases of Coronavirus.

    “NCDC@NCDC gov48 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-13, Kaduna-7, Nasarawa-7, Kano-6, Kwara-5, Ondo-4, Akwa Ibom-3 and Osun-3; 162,641 confirmed 150,466 discharged 2,049 deaths”, NCDC has announced.

    There are now 127, 528, 305 confirmed cases of Coronavirus worldwide, 2, 790, 109 deaths and 72, 302, 399 patients have recovered. There are now 52, 435, 797 active cases of Coronavirus based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

    According to the centre, the United States  remains the most afflicted country, reporting 30, 321,943 confirmed cases and 549, 892 deaths(67, 453 new and 603 deaths*), followed by Brazil which has reported 12, 573, 615 all time cases, 313, 866 patients are no more, while 11, 022, 192 others have survived the pandemic, leaving Brazil with 1, 237, 557 active cases of Coronavirus(83, 253 new and 3316 deaths*) and India which has documented  12, 039, 644  confirmations, 161, 843 patients have passed on while 11, 355,993 others have been treated and discharged, leaving India with 521, 808 active cases of Coronavirus(68,020 new and 291 deaths*).

    France remains the 4th country worst hit by the pandemic, now reporting 4, 615, 290 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 95, 114 deaths and 297,639 recoveries, leaving France with 4, 222, 537 active cases of Coronavirus(9105 new and 360 deaths*) and Russia with 4, 477, 916 all time cases, 96, 413 patients are already dead, while 4, 099, 263 active cases of Coronavirus(8589 new and 290 deaths*) and the United Kingdom which has registered 4,351, 668  all time case, 126, 857 deaths and 12, 776 recoveries, leaving the UK with 4, 212, 035 active cases of Coronavirus(4658 new and 35 deaths*).

    Italy has come up as the 7th country worst hit, now reporting 3, 544,957 all time infections, 108, 350 patients have lost their lives as a result of the pandemic, while 2, 870, 614 others have survived, leaving Italy with 565, 993 active cases(12, 900 new and 417 deaths*), followed by Spain, which has documented 3, 270, 825  confirmations, 75, 199 patients have kicked the bucket while 150, 376 others have recovered and therefore discharged, leaving Spain with 3, 120, 449 active cases of Coronavirus(15, 501 new and 189 deaths*) and Turkey which has confirmed 3, 240,577  all time cases, 31, 230 deaths and 2, 975, 108 active cases of Coronavirus(32, 404 new and 54 deaths*).

    Germany continues as the 10th country  afflicted with the pandemic, reporting  2, 794, 949  all time infections, 75, 991 deaths and  2, 500,249  active cases of Coronavirus(10, 305 new and 64 deaths*) and South Africa which has documented 1, 545,979  all time infections, 52, 710 deaths and 1,472, 645  all time  cases, leaving the South Africa with  20, 624 active cases of Coronavirus(548 new and 62 deaths*).
