    Burkina Faso knocks Garbon 7 – 6 at AFCON

    LIMBE, Cameroun – The keenly contested game between Burkina Faso and Garbon at the 20,000 capacity Limbe Omnisport Stadium  in Limbe, Cameroun, ended up in favour of Burkina Faso which defeated their opponent 7-6 via penalty shot out.

    The game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes of play, forcing the teams to go into penalty shot out.  

    But it was a deserved victory for Burkina Faso, which dominated the encounter, securing 51 percent ball possession against Garbon that had 49 percent.

    Burkina Faso had 6 shots on target as against 4 by Garbon. Burkina Faso  was able to secure just 5 corner kicks during the  thrilling encounter, while Garbon  having 10 corner kicks.

    But it was Burkina Faso that had the highest fouls,  27 against 24 by Garbon, which also had the only Yellow card during the encounter.
