Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, won APC ticket to contest 2015 election

December 11, 2014 – Former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has emerged as the Presidential flag-bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

He will now contest with President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who was ratified yesterday along with executive members of the party at a PDP convention in Abuja.

Buhari polled 3,430 valid votes out of 7, 214 votes to defeat other contestants who scored cumulative votes of about 3,784.

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar scored 945 votes.

Other candidates who contested the election are Kano State Governor, Mr. Rabiu Kwanwanso, Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Publisher of Leadership Newspaper, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah.

Below is the full result released of the two days congress held December 10th and 11 in Lagos.

Some votes were voided but a total of 7, 214 votes were cast during the convention.
