LAGOS, Nigeria – Attack on Nigeria by the Boko Haram sect continued without abating in the northeastern state of Zamfara even as Nigerian soldiers continue to attack their stronghold.

Yesterday, Monday, not less than 21 civilians including soldiers were killed in addition to a lady identified to be a sister to Senator Kabiru Marafa.

We gathered that the 14 civilians, including the Senator’s sister killed last night in Tudun Wadar Maijatau, Takoka and Ruwan Bore have been buried. While remains of the Seven(7) soldiers killed during the attacks are said to have been deposited at the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau.

The seven solderis were killed in Bini Village, Maru Local Government, Zamfara.

“Yesterday bandits killed seven soldiers in Bini village of Maru Local Govt in Zamfara. The corpses of the soldiers that died in active service are currently deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Gusau. Information on last night attacks are only trickling in.

“14 persons, including the sister to Senator Marafa that were killed last night in Tudun Wadar Maijatau, Takoka and Ruwan Bore have just been buried. The death toll in #Zamfara and environs is not abating”, journalists Ahmad Salkida said in series of tweets.

He also reported that one Hajiya Ade Marafa was slaughtered by the terror gang operating in #Zamfara, while the life of her husband, who is a village head, was spared and was taken to one of their dens for likely ransom demands. They were also reported to have terrorised and burnt down, houses in Takoka, Tudun Wada Mai Jatau and Doka villages, killing scores and abducted 5 women.

“As we went to sleep, Madaba village in Magami District in Zamfara was attacked, with dozens killed and wounded. Also last night, a group of bandits invaded a house of a newly wedded couple in Birnin-Magaji and abducted the bride. This is everyday life in #Zamfara #Nigeria”, he said.
