LAGOS, Nigeria – Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has explained what he meant when he said he will sell the NNPC, which he described as being run like a mafia organisation.

He said NNPC needs to be more than an election slush fund for every government in power.

“NNPC needs to be more than an election slush fund for every government in power. We’ll list part of the NNPC on the Nigerian Stock exchange, so any Nigerian has the opportunity to co-own and benefit. #AskAtiku”, he said.

He said every Nigerian should feel at home wherever they are adding that part of his recommendations to the CONFAB was to focus more on state of residence, rather than origin. “Let our states attract the best people”, he said.

He said he will his slogan is Jobs, jobs, jobs!, adding “Our government will not be unfriendly to the private sector, unlike the current one.
