ACCRA, Ghana – Captain of Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has decided to rescind his decision to quit the Black Stars. In a statement, the striker said he decided to rescind his decision based on intervention by the President of Ghana, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Asamoah Gyan said that based on the intervension by the President he has decided to take the request of the president that he remain in the Black Stars of Ghana in good faith, and “will make myself available for selection by Coach Kwasi Appiah.

“My desire to help Ghana end the over three decades long wait to annex the AFCON trophy still burns strong and I remain committed to serving this great nation and the people of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan said in his press statement, which copied head of technical team, Black Stars, President GFA nomalisation Committee and all media houses.
