LAGOS, Nigeria – Just about four months to the 2023 general election, the vote buying machines of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC has hit the streets, awarding vouchers to Nigerians in a bid to secure votes for the Presidential candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a video made available to our correspondent,  members of the party, were seen moving from house to house and from shop to shop  in a location identified  to be Lagos distributing vouchers to Nigerians.

In the said VIDEO ,  the agents of the party, mostly youths, specifically told recipients that the vouchers are from Tinubu, the Presidential candidate of the APC, who returned to Nigeria on Thursday evening amid cheers  and that they have enough for everyone.

The vouchers in the video in our possession was pink in colour and it  will allow recipients to approach departmental stores to make purchases as the economic situation  in Nigeria bites harder.

Our correspondent reports that this is a new trend adopted by the political party following efforts by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to firm up security ahead of election to avoid vote buying which have dogged the free and fair elections held in Ekiti and Osun State by INEC.
