December 4, 2014 – Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Lagos, Otunba Henry Ajomale has said that he did not bribe delegates to cast their votes for any particular aspirant in the party primaries.

Ajomale who spoke earlier at the gubernatorial primary, denied sending text messages to induce delegates financially for them to cast their votes for Akinwunmi Ambode, tipped to win the primaries.

There are reports that over N570million had been earmarked for delegates to queue behind Ambode, who seen to be the choice of the party.

But Ajomale said none of the reports were true urging those behind the rumour to quit using his name.

“I Otunba Henry Ajomale did not send any message, I did not attend any meeting. Stop using my name, I don’t have any preferred aspirant. Please stop sending message. Please disregard. All the aspirants are my aspirants”.

To prove his innocence, Ajomale an hour later took to the stage to reiterate his message, declaring that he would abstain from taking part in the voting process choosing to be neutral.
