Nigeria, August 24, 2016 – Afro Pop sensation, A.M has released a blazing new single titled OJAJU. Produced by Jfem, A.M features popular rap star, Olamide on this tremendous single.
A.M gives another excellent delivery of great vocals and lyrics in OJAJU. The song extols the irresistible attributes of a woman.
Olamide’s lyrical prowess doubles up A.M’s enthralling vocals and ultimately takes its listeners on another plain of musical bliss. On working with Olamide, he shared “It was a great experience working with Olamide. He is one of the most talented people I’ve met and worked with”.
Despite being out of the country for a while, the delectable act who also doubles as a fitness trainer has been in the music scene for quite some time with hit singles like IMAKA and MISS AFRICANA released in 2015.The singles caused quite a buzz on social media and topped music charts.
The Uptown Nation Music signee is currently on a media tour to promote OJAJU as well as other soon to be unveiled projects. His fresh approach to Afrobeat is definitely one to look out for !
Ahamdi Ikechukwu Ononuju-McErnest better known by his stage name A.M (pronounced A.M) is a talented Afro pop artist born in northwest London and raised in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.
In 2002, after the loss of his father A.M began expressing himself through poetry. Just a year into writing poetry ,A.M found himself in the studio working with famous producer Sunki, popular for the hit single Olufunmi by StylPlus. He was affiliated with Impact Records, owned by ‘Abu Marwa’ while based in Abuja.
In 2004, A.M moved to the UK to pursue his interest in Business. He went on to achieve an undergraduate degree in International Business and Administration at University of Middlesex. While in the UK, A.M continued his venture into music and signed to an underground record label Titans Entertainment under the name Authentiq. He released a single Chasing Paper.
In 2011, A.M took his first step as an entrepreneur and launched his fitness company Body Blast in the famous Gym Box and LA Fitness. A.M within this time left Titans Entertainment and became a sort out Personal Trainer and Nutritionist in London but continued writing music.
In 2015, A.M joined McErnest Company on a non-exclusive management deal. Since then, he has worked with renowned producers including TeeYmix, Jay Sleek( 2Face, Sound Sultan), P2J, Leriq (Aristokrat Records) and E Kelly(Naeto C) and many more.
A.M released his debut single IMAKA (You Are Beautiful) produced by P2J, 22nd March 2015. Which caused a serious frenzy on the social media networks and blogs, reached No1 on MTV Base Africa and praised for an excellently written song of international standard by his colleagues.
Later that year A.M followed up his debut single with an equally breathtaking sound titled Miss Africana produced by E. Kelly. This again highlighted A.M’s ability to contest with his peers as Miss Africana reached No.1 on the Beat FM 99.9 (a renowned radio station based in Lagos, Nigeria) charts.
In March 2016, A.M signed to a new record Label, Uptown Nation Music and he is set to release his first single under this label titled OJAJU featuring Olamide.
