UMUAHIA – Abia State Governor, Mr. Alex Otti has made his first set of political appointments less than 48 hours after he was sworn in as governor.
Those appointed include Professor Kenneth Kalu, Secretary to the State Governor; Pastor Caleb Ajagba PhD, Chief of Staff and Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, Special Adviser, Health Care Delivery Services.
Other lucky appointees are Ferdinand Ekeoma, Special Adviser Media and Publicity, Mr. Kezie Uko, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mrs. Njum Onyemenam, Accountant General and Mr. Ogbonnia Okereke, Head, Special Taskforce on Emergency Cleanup of Abia and Umuahia.
Alex Otti, who is the only governor elected on the platform of Labour Party earlier in the day met with Permanent Secretaries of the various ministries in the Abia state Civil service, reminding them that as the engine room of the government, they must conduct the business of the state in transparency.
“I also met with heads of the various security agencies in Abia, where I was briefed on the security situation of the state”, he said.
