The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) as quarrelsome parties who are merely embittered by on-going reconciliation in the party.
Acting Publicity Secretary of the party, Tony Okeke made the revelation while reacting to a statement credited to the ACN, requesting the ruling party to furnish Nigerians with security reports that prevented Rivers State, Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi from exchanging pleasantries with the President at the Villa.
“The ACN and the CPC are merely embittered by the reconciliation so far achieved by in the PDP and seek to use all means to undermine it. That is why they are crying wolf where there is none”, he said, adding that protocol issues are understood all over the world.
“Therefore the demand by ACN smacks of irresponsible meddlesomeness and foolish scandal-mongering aimed as causing disaffection among our leaders and party members”, he said, adding that the ACN and the CPC have overtime showed that they derive pleasure in causing disaffection among Nigerians.
