Abducted Chibok Girls Not Yet Released – DHQ

September 23, 2014 – The military authority in Nigeria has denied reports circulating in the media about purported release of the over 200 girls abducted from state owned Government Girls Secondary School Chibok, in Borno, North east Nigeria.

In a statement, Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade described the report as untrue adding that though buses indeed drove into Maimalari Barack in Borno, headquarters of the 7th Mechanised division, the buses conveyed other individuals.

The girls were abducted April 14, 2014.
