New cases of Coronavirus drop to 201 in Nigeria 5864 and USA 223 435 new cases

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 201 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing all time cases to 73, 374. But out of the 73,374 all time cases, 66,314 patients have been treated and discharged, while 1,197 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 5864 active cases.

 Breakdown of the new cases is as follows, Kaduna-74, Lagos-53, Katsina-40, Rivers-11, Plateau-9, Kwara-6, Bauchi-2, Ogun-2, Taraba-2, Edo-1 and Sokoto-1, making a total of 201 new cases of Coronavirus.

Globally, there are now 72, 650, 979 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, 1, 618, 617 patients have died as a result of the pandemic, while  47, 451, 977  others have been treated successfully and discharged.

There are now 23, 580, 385 active cases of Coronavirus globally based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 16, 407, 785 all time cases, 300, 361 patients have passed on while  6, 298, 082 others have recovered, leaving the US with 9, 809, 342 active cases of Coronavirus(223, 435 new cases), followed India, which has reported 9, 884, 100 all time infections, 143, 355 patients are no more, while 9, 388,159 others have recovered, leaving India with 352, 586 active cases(27,071 new cases), followed by Brazil which has reported 6, 901, 952 confirmed cases,  181, 402 patients have passed on while 6, 138, 349 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Brazil with 582, 201  active cases of Coronavirus(21, 825 new cases).

Russia remains the 4th country most affected, reporting 2, 656, 601 confirmations, 46, 846 deaths and 2, 105, 414 recoveries, leaving Russia with 504, 341 active cases of Coronavirus(26, 902 new cases), followed by France which has documented 2, 433,730 all time infections, 58, 386 deaths and 183,340 recoveries, leaving France with 2, 192, 004 patients still down with Coronavirus hoping for the best of care to keep living(3118 new cases) and the United Kingdom which has reported 1, 874, 803 all time infections, 64, 500 deaths, while only 4,022 patients have been able to recover, leaving the UK with 1, 806, 281 Coronavirus patients in the UK(20, 313 new cases).

Turkey  has raced up as the 7th country most hit, reporting 1, 866,345  all time cases,  16, 646 patients have died, while  1, 631, 944 others have been treated successfully and discharged, leaving Turkey with 217, 755 active cases(29, 617 new cases), followed by Italy with 1, 855, 737  confirmations,  65, 011 deaths and 1, 115,617 recoveries, leaving Italy with 675, 109 active cases of Coronavirus(12,025 new cases) and Spain which has reported  1, 751, 884 confirmed cases,  43, 013 deaths, while 150, 376 patients have recovered since June, 2020, leaving Spain with 1, 558, 495 Coronavirus patients urgently in need of medical care to keep living(21, 309 new cases).

Argentina is the 10th country most hit, reporting  1, 498, 160 confirmed cases, 40, 766 patients are no more, while 1, 335,317 others are now hale and hearty, leaving Argentina with 122, 077 active cases of Coronavirus(3,558 new cases) and South Africa, now the 18th country worst hit.

South Africa has reported 866, 127 all time cases, 23, 451 deaths and 762, 746 recoveries, leaving South Africa with 79,930 active cases of Coronavirus (5163 new cases).
