LAGOS – Nigeria’s former military dictator, Ibrahim Babangida(IBB) is not happy with Nigerians who have continued to demonise him for annulling the June 12, 1993 election.

Candidate of the Social Democratic Party(SDP), Chief MKO Abiola is presumed to have won the election. He defeated Alhaji Bashir Tofa of the National Republican Convention(NRC) but Babangida turned around only to annul the election which he has acknowledged as the freest and fairest so far.

The general was angry that Nigerians have continued to label him a bad person without even listening to the reasons why the election has to be annuled.

IBB took to his social media and started talking about the development.

“Nobody gives me credit for conducting the freest and fairest election in the country; nobody is prepared to listen to the reasons behind the rationalization of why we had to do what we did; but Nigerians are quick to point IBB as the bad person”, he said.
