HOLLYWOOD – Rap Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj is facing the humiliating prospect of a judge FORCING THE SALE of her spectacular $20 million (£16 million) Los Angeles mansion—all to settle a debt of just half a million dollars.
A California court is ready to put the chart-topping star’s sprawling Hidden Hills property on the market to pay a five-year-old judgment owed to a security guard whose jaw was allegedly shattered in a 2019 backstage assault by the rapper’s husband.
In a dramatic move that exposes the ongoing legal “Hidden Hells” surrounding the couple, a judge has indicated a willingness to approve the security guard’s request to seize the luxury pad and clear his unpaid dues.
The shocking drama dates back to the star’s 2019 Nicki WORLD Tour stop in Frankfurt, Germany.
Security guard Thomas Weidenmüller successfully sued the Anaconda singer and her husband, Kenneth Petty, after an alleged violent confrontation following a breach of the stage barrier by a fan.
The guard claims the rapper furiously yelled at a female colleague over the lapse. When Weidenmüller stepped in to defend the woman, he alleged that Minaj became aggressive, even throwing a shoe at him that narrowly missed.
Then, Petty—who has his own history of legal trouble—allegedly landed a sucker punch on the guard.
Weidenmüller claimed the attack left him with a broken jaw that required multiple surgeries and five metal plates to be implanted.
When the star couple failed to respond to the lawsuit in Los Angeles, the judge issued a default judgment against them in March 2024, awarding Weidenmüller over $503,000 for his injuries and pain.
Despite Minaj’s estimated fortune, which runs into the hundreds of millions, court filings state the £400k debt remains outstanding.
This forced the German security official to take the extraordinary step of asking the court to seize the rapper’s most visible asset: her 11,820 sq ft Hidden Hills mansion.
The legal paperwork highlights the injustice, stating: “There is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full, and yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests.”
The court documents argue the sale is necessary because the couple have refused to cooperate with multiple attempts to collect the cash.
The $20 million estate—purchased by Minaj in 2022—has ample equity to cover the debt, meaning the sale would easily provide Weidenmüller with the money he is owed for his life-changing injuries.
The judge is now simply waiting on final mortgage details before signing off on the stunning enforcement action, which could see the rap megastar thrown out of her luxury home over a punch-up that happened half a world away.
