FLORIDA – The presidential aspirant of the Republican party and former President of the United States, Donald Trump has thanked the Secret Service for their bravery and patriotism in foiling attempt to assassinate him.
This is the second time in two months that attempt will be made to assassinate him.
The first one was at a farm house in Pennsylvania and the assailant killed on the spot, this time at his Golf Course in Palm Beach, Florida.
The assailant was this time arrested and has been detained by the FBI.
Reacting to this attempt, Trump thanked everyone for their concern and best wishes.
“It was an important day he said, adding “most importantly, I want to thank the U.S Secret Service Sheriff Rick Bradshaw and his office of brave and dedicated patriot and all of the law enforcement officers for the incredible job done today at Trump International in keeping me as the 45th president of the United States and the Republican nominee in the upcoming presidential election”.
Trump continued: “The job done was absolutely outstanding, I am proud to be an American”, he said.
His vice, JD Vance said he is happy that Trump is safe.
“I’m glad President Trump is safe”, he said, adding “I spoke to him before the news was public and he was, amazingly, in good spirits.
“Still much we don’t know, but I’ll be hugging my kids extra tight tonight and saying a prayer of gratitude”, he said.
