President promised speedy implementation

ABUJA, Nigeria – The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN has received report from the committee set up to investigate the boat mishap of April 10, 2024 and bye laws to regulate the acting profession in Nigeria.
The Boat Mishap Committee is led by Mr. Kevin Uvo. It was charged to find out immediate and remote causes of the boat accident which claimed the lives of 5 five actors, including Junior Pope. The actors died aboard set of the movie, Another Side of Life produced by Adama Luke.
The Bye-laws committee was headed by Emeka Ike and together, they presented their reports to President of the guild, Mr. Emeka Rollas. The bye-laws are code of practice that actors in Nigeria must adhere to during shooting.
While receiving the report, Rollas commended the committees for the sleepless nights they had working to ensure that they complete the task assigned to them.
The AGN President promised to speedily implement reports of the committees.
Present during the presentation, were chairmen of both committees, Chairman AGN Board of Trustees, Mr. Emmanuel Ogugua, members of the national executive council, Patience Ozokwor, Bimbo Manuel, Tony Ogbetere, national secretary, Abubakar Yakubu and Emeka Duru, the Financial secretary of AGN.
