Anambra businessman gives scholarship to 4 indigent students, doles N4.5m for materials

AWKA, Nigeria – Chief Executive Officer CEO of Blue Shield Security Company Limited Ozo Jeff Nweke has awarded scholarships to four newly admitted brilliant students in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State.

He also presented N4.5 million to the beneficiaries for their first quarter of the year to enable them buy the necessary things for their studies.

The beneficiaries are Ngama Hope Chidera of the Department of English Language and Literary Studies, Okonkwo John of Statistics department, Alieze Samson of the department of Education Management and Policy
and David Emmanuel of the department of Philosophy.

Ozo Jeff Nweke who is the Chairman of Ozo Jeff Education Scholarship Scheme urged the benefiting students to maintain those characteristics that paved way for them to secure the scholarships.
He enjoined them to add more value to themselves to be better citizens .

According to him, all the beneficiaries have the traits of becoming president or governors in future,if only they maintain good characters and work hard.

” You have the potentials of great achievers but if you do not work hard to maximize those potentials in you, they will all perish in you.

“So you have to work hard to be useful to yourselves and to the society at large” he said .

He urged them to always be prayerful because the Holy Bible says that those who lack wisdom should ask from God, who gives it in abundance.

According to him,those who made it in life were not by mere sudden flight but through hard work because while their mates were busy sleeping, they were toiling hard .

Director of Ozo Jeff Education Scholarship Scheme, Ikechukwu Chinweze said the programme is strictly a sponsorship on education in tertiary institutions.

He disclosed that the scholarship transverses throughout the entire states of Nigeria and beneficiaries were drawn from different states of federation.

According to him, before a person could be qualified , the school authority of the beneficiary must be contacted to enquire about his/her socio-moral conduct.

He said after the inquiry ,the foundation will also screen the person’s academic conduct and performance.

One of the Beneficiaries Okonkwo John On behalf of other beneficaries thanked their benefactor, Ozo Jeff for finding them worthy to spend his hard earned money in their academic pursuit.

He prayed that God will keep replenishing his purse and give him more courage to continue helping the downtrodden.
