QUEENS, New York – Former US Open finalist Alexander Zverev on Saturday night overcame Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov 6-7 (2-7), 7-6 (10-8), 6-1, 6-1 in three hours and 40 minutes to reach the last 16 at Flushing Meadows.

After losing the first set and finding himself 4-2 down in the second, the German mounted a comeback to defeat Dimitrov, who by the end of the match was visibly exhausted, for a sixth consecutive time.
