AWKA, Anambra – The governor of Anambra state Prof. Charles Soludo has vowed to build Chinese Village in Anambra.
Soludo made announcement during Anambra State Investment Summit 2023 held in Awka with the theme ” Laying The Foundation for a Prosperous Smart Mega City”.
He called on Anambra citizens to come home and invest. The summit was designed to leap jump the state into a mega smart city. During the summit he said that the State government will give land for the Chinese government to build China village in the state.
During the summit , the state government signed a Mushroom agreement with Chinese government for the state to be exporting mushroom to China.
According to Soludo,the state has a special programme for Chinese investors in the state. The governor also said that the state government has a special programme for Anambra indigenes who are coming to invest in the State.
He further stated that his administration was working on all front to build a prosperous state for all Ndi Anambra and Nigerians.
Speaking on the summit, Soludo, said his administration was passionate about building a livable economy for the people.
“We are also working to make our human capital productive. This is an investment that is determined to move the state forwards. We are working towards changing the state from importing to exporting State. We are also working towards making Anambra a free trade zone, where by any investor in the country without visiting Anambra has not visited Nigeria” he said
Soludo said he will be the chief marketer of any investor in the state, noting that he wears local clothes, shoes and driving innosson motors for a marketing purpose.
“We will help to market any thing you do in Anambra state. We are determined to make this partnership work. Come to Anambra ,we will give you land , you don’t need to come and begin to look for land “he stated.
He also promised to put his own money into investment in the State, noting that even if it meant seeking loans from banks. He further added that the state government was planning to launch Anambra state intra state rail.
According to him , as part of the state efforts, government is improving on security , law and order to attract investors.
