KOGI, Nigeria-  Commissioner of Information and Communications in Kogi State, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo has reacted to rumours making the rounds that he and some top government officials had conversations on WhatsApp group on election matters, while it was pending in court, stressing that neither he nor any other person or persons allegedly had anything to do with the group.

In a statement,  the  Commissioner  denied the existence of such a group and the alleged conversation.

“As far as we are concerned, there was no group like that,  talk less of having such conversations on a public platform.

“It is obvious that the opposition created the group, added numbers and mischievously and fraudulently saved those numbers in the names of government officials to make their fraud look real”, he said.

According to him, only low thinkers will believe such cheap and pedestrian forgery.

“We have received calls from friends and well wishers who also laughed off such unintelligent fraud”, he said, calling on well wishers to disregard the cheap forgery, adding that he and others are poised to expose the desperate and fraudulent people who want to get power at all costs.

“Who knows how many people they would have deceived secretly with this style before they brought their foolishness to the market square.

“Stay calm. They are jittery already and forcing themselves into errors, fraud and forgery”, Kingsley Fanwo said about the screenshot of the alleged conversation in circulation on Facebook.
