Okays IG for Abia State

ABUJA, Nigeria – The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN has dissolved the Stanley Mba-led Reconciliatory Committee to pave way for an Interim Government(IG).
In a statement signed by National Secretary, Mr. Abubakar Yakubu, the guild said the IG will help to restore peace to the acting community in Abia State.
The IG is made up of three members, led by Doris Ogala, while Moira Mba will be secretary. Chybyke Agu is the third member of the committee.
“The National body once again, reiterates its commitment to ensuring a peaceful , credible and transparent elections in the state chapter in line with election guidelines and the constitution of the guild”, National Secretary, Abubakar Yakubu said in the statement
He enjoined members of AGN in Abia State to embrace peace and respect the constituted authority and desist from actions capable of brewing chaos and rancor in the state chapter.
According to him, the AGN President, Mr. Emeka Rollas assures all AGN members in Abia State of their security and urged them to go about their lawful business peacefully.
