IMO, Nigeria – Unknown gunmen have invaded the home of Spokesperson of the Conference of Political Parties(CUPP), Mr. Ikenga Ugochere in Akokwa Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State.

The gunmen according to the Ugochere struck this evening, killed his uncle and started setting everywhere on fire.

Ugochere who raised the alarm on the social media is calling on the security agencies to please come to his assistance.

Recall that Ugochere has been the target of government officials in Imo State after he led his CUPP in a press conference which showed that over 40,000 fake names were fraudulent entered into INEC register in Hope Uzodinma ward, which originally had about 4,000 registered voters.

The other anomaly, the CUPP spokesman unveiled about the Imo State government is the fact that the 40,000 fake names smuggled into the INEC register, which has now been removed had more Hausa, Yoruba and names of foreigners than  Igbo names.

He also alleged that the Hope Uzodima’s rulling All Progressive Congress, APC  has harvested over 10 million bank accounts for operation wire, wire as part of efforts to rig the 2023 general election.

Recall that since Hope Uzodinma became governor of Imo State through the Supreme Court in an election he came forth, Imo State has not known peace. There has been series of attacks on residents of Imo State, with government orchestrating the killing of his own people.

Besides, there have been series of attacks on INEC  offices in Imo State in what many alleged is targeted at making it impossible for the electoral umpire to use BVAS for the election in Imo State.
