LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 241 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 252, 428.
But out of the 252, 428 total cases, 227, 004 patients have been treated and discharged, while 3, 126 patients have passed on leaving Nigeria with 22, 298 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 2 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 241 new cases of COVID19Nigeria: Taraba – 98, Rivers – 66, Lagos – 35, FCT – 20, Delta – 13, Kwara – 3, abia – 2, Nasarawa – 2, Plateau- 2: 252, 428 confirmed; 227, 004 discharged; 3, 126 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 353,798, 477 cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 602,042 patients have been killed by the pandemic, while 9, 817, 590, 825 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 71, 437, 265 all time cases, while 868, 027 patients have passed on(788, 419 new and 1632 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 39, 543, 328 all time cases and 489, 848 deaths(306, 064 new and 439 deaths#) and Brazil, which has documented 24, 054, 405 all time cases, while 623, 370 others have perished(122, 796 new and 179 deaths#).
France remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 16, 917, 220 total infections, while 130, 013 lives have been wasted(109, 487 new and 393 deaths#), followed by the United Kingdom, which has reported 16, 061, 591 all time cases, while 154, 428 lives have perished(94, 753 new and 55 deaths#) and Turkey 11, 014, 152 total infections, while 86, 125 patients could not make it alive(67, 023 new and 156 deaths#).
Russia is now the 7th country most hit by Coronavirus, reporting 10, 988, 027 total cases, while 320, 178 patients could not make it alive(64, 533 new and 642 deaths#), followed by Italy with 10, 001, 344 all time cases, while 143,875 patients have perished (77, 666 new and 352 deaths#)and Spain with 9, 280, 890 total infections, while 91, 994 others could not make it alive(305, 432 new and 253 deaths#).
Germany remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 8, 808, 298 all time cases, while 116,822 lives have perished(91, 153 new and 99 deaths#) and South Africa, the most affected country in Africa. South Africa has documented 3, 582, 691 all time cases, while 94, 625 patients are no more(1332 new and 448 deaths#).
