LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1584 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 222, 655.
But out of the 222, 655 total cases, 211, 373 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 984 other patients could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8298 active cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while one patient died in the last 24 hours.
“1584 new cases of COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 906, FCT – 258, Rivers – 217, Ed0 – 85, Oyo – 50, Ogun -16, Ondo – 14, Bayelsa – 12, Osun – 10, Bauchi – 9, Kano -7: 222, 655 confirmed; 211, 373 discharged; 2, 984 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 273, 441,559 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 5, 342,768 patients are no more, while 8, 631, 130,898 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 50, 595, 990 total cases of Coronavirus while 804, 938 other patients have passed on(120, 112 new and 1667 deaths#), followed by India, which has documented 34, 726, 049 all time cases of the pandemic, while 476,869 patients are no more(7447 new and 257 deaths#) and Brazil with 22, 204, 941 all time cases of infections and 617, 395 deaths(3720 new and 124 deaths#).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 11, 254, 133 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 147, 507 patients could not make it alive (93, 034 new and 112 deaths#), followed by Russia, with 9, 982, 735 total cases and 289,292 deaths(27, 427 new and 1052 deaths#) and Turkey, which has reported 9, 138, 536 total cases, while 80, 053 patients are no more(36, 242 new and 357 deaths#).
France has come up as the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 8, 565, 144 all time cases, while 122,158 others have kicked the bucket(165 new and 2 deaths#), followed by Germany with 6, 746, 992 total cases of Coronavirus, while 107, 812 patients have given up the ghost(38, 137 new and 444 deaths#) and Iran, now reporting 6, 167, 650 all time infections, while 130, 992 patients have perished(2196 new and 46 deaths#).
Argentina remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 5, 376, 642 all time cases and 116,874 deaths (5301 new and 17 deaths#)and South Africa, which has reported 3, 276, 529 total cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 90, 297 others could not make it alive(20, 713 new and 35 deaths#).
