In 24 hours Coronavirus pandemic kills 19 in Nigeria, 1942 in the US

LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 281 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing  all time cases to  205, 765. But out of the 205, 765 all time cases,  193, 617  patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 720  others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9428 active cases, while 19 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 233, 677, 353 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,779, 778 patients have been killed, while 6, 224,139, 575 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 43, 445,267 all time cases, while 696,  717  patients have passed on(119, 948 new and 1942 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 739, 980   confirmed cases, while 448,062 lives are no more(23, 529 new and 311 deaths*) and Brazil which has reported 21, 399, 546  confirmations and 596, 122 deaths(17, 756 new and  676 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4^th country most hit, reporting 7, 843,  796 all time cases, while 137, 043 lives have passed on(35, 915 new and 147 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has registered 7, 401,104  all time cases and 203, 549 deaths(35, 915 new and 849 deaths*) and France with 7, 106,  028 all time infections, while 117,473 patients are no more(5455 new and 69 deaths*).

Turkey is the 7^th country worst hit, reporting  7, 124, 654 confirmed cases and 63, 827 deaths(29, 104 new and 216 deaths*) and  Iran, which has documented  5, 587,040  all time cases while 120,428 lives are no more(14, 078 new and 268 deaths*) and Argentina which has registered 5, 255, 261  all time infections, while 115,130 lives have kicked the bucket(1496 new and 92 deaths*).

Colombia remains the 10^th country most hit, reporting  4, 955, 848 all time cases and 126, 261 deaths(1472 new and 42 deaths*) and South Africa, which has documented 2, 902, 672  cases  and 87, 627 deaths(3784 new and 210 deaths*).
