LAGOS, Nigeria –  The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 141 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 206, 279. But out of the 206, 279 cases, 194, 167 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 723 others could not make it alive.

NCDC: 141 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Rivers -33,  Gombe -32,  Lagos – 29, Imo – 25,  Plateau – 9,  Benue – 5,  Borno-4, l Kano -3, Delta – 1: 206, 279 confirmed;  194, 167 discharged; 2, 723 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

Total number of Coronavirus  infection worldwide now stands at 235,309, 472 while total death figure rose to 4, 807,369  just as 6, 316, 079, 987   doses of Coronavirus vaccines been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting  43, 822, 552  all time cases, while  703, 130 lives have been taken by the virus(143, 200 new and 1973 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 33, 834, 702   confirmed cases, while 448,997 patients have lost their lives to Coronavirus(20, 799 new and 180 deaths*) and Brazil with 21, 468, 121  all time cases, while 597, 948 lives are no  more.  

The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, reporting 7, 972, 072 all time cases, while 137, 371 patients have died as a result of the pandemic(34, 306 new and 33 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has registered 7, 500,000 cases, while 207, 056 patients  have lost their lives(25, 150 new and 877 deaths*) and France now reporting 7, 121, 507 all time cases and 117, 657 deaths(1293 new and 62 deaths*).

Turkey has remained the 7th country most hit, reporting 7, 267, 047  all time infections, while 64, 909 patients are no more(58, 196 new and 475 deaths*) and Iran with 5, 638, 735 cases of Coronavirus, while 121, 347 patients have passed on(14,607 new and  238 deaths*) and Argentina which has reported 5, 259, 738  cases of  the pandemic and 115,245 all time deaths(386 new cases and 6 deaths*).

Spain remains the 10th country worst hit, now reporting 4, 965, 399 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 86, 527  total deaths since inception (4271 new and 64 deaths*) and  South Africa with 2, 906,851  all time cases, while 87, 819  patients have passed on(429 new and 39 deaths*).
