LAGOS – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 251 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases to 208, 404. But out of the 208, 404 confirmed cases, 196, 123 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 761 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 9520 active cases, while 5 patients died in the last 24 hours.

There are now 239, 075, 573 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 872, 641 patients are no more, while 6,550,688, 101 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States remains the most afflicted, reporting 44,667, 636 all time cases, while 719, 306 lives have perished(118, 407 new and 2971 deaths*), followed by India with 34, 001, 743 all time infections, while 451,189 lives are no more(15, 823 new and 226 deaths*) and Brazil with 21, 590, 097 all time cases, while 601, 398 patients are no more alive.
The United Kingdom has come up as the 4th country most hit, reporting 8,311,654 confirmed cases and 138, 487 deaths(41, 632 new and 139 deaths*) and Russia which has registered 7, 742, 899 confirmed cases while 215, 438 patients have perished(27, 926 new and 962 deaths*) and Turkey which has reported 7, 540, 193 cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 66, 841 lives are no more(65, 108 new and 473 deaths*).
France has come up as the 7th country most afflicted, reporting 7, 164, 924 all time cases of Coronavirus pandemic, while 118, 078 patients are no more(1838 new and 59 deaths*), followed by Iran with 5,742, 083 all time infections and 123, 275 deaths(12, 298 new and 194 deaths*) and Argentina which has documented 5, 267, 339 total cases of the pandemic, while 115, 547 others could not make it alive(1064 new and 56 deaths*).
Spain remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 980, 206 all time cases and 86, 869 deaths(2758 new and 42 deaths*) and South Africa which has reported 2, 913, 880 confirmed cases while 88, 466 patients have died from the pandemic(942 new and 37 deaths*).
