ONITSHA, Anambra – Member representing Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency in the House of representatives Hon Lynda Ikpeazu has charged All Progressive Congress (APC) Local Government and ward chairmen to be prepared for total battle if they want to win the State for APC in the November 6,governorship election.
lkpeazu gave the charge in Awka ,the Anambra State Capital at the APC stakeholders meeting.
The lawmaker said ” l want to tell you that votes for this election will count and there will be no room to write result this time. I have contested election several times and had also won and from my experience it is not a tea party. You should therefore brace-up and prepare for war because we must do everything within our reach to win the election.
“We have streamlined our strategic plans in every ward. We are expecting that with ten active persons in each wards who can convince ten persons each in the 326 wards we will be sure of about 80,000 people to vote for APC and plus and minus we will be coasting to victory”
The State party chairman chief Basil Ejidike urged old members of the party not panic over the new entrants. He said the party is seriously working out plans on how to win the election in the units, noting that the new members will be added advantage to the party .
He said the knew entrants are people of high political profile who knew what they want and at the appropriate time. According to Ejidike, they are people from Anambra State and wanted what is best for the State.
“We may also not rule out the issue of spies but they may not make any difference. We have worked for this over the years and we are on top of the situation, “he said . Meanwhile, the APC governorship candidate senator Andy Ubah appealed to the LG , ward chairmen, and executives of the party to be steadfast with the Party and be rest assured that victory is assured .
He also said that people would be rewarded according to their performance if APC forms the government.
