ONITSHA, Anambra, Nigeria – Candidate of People Democratic Party PDP for the November 6 Anambra governorship poll, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo has called on the people to vote for the party and wait to protect their votes.

Ozigbo, made the plea, during his   campaigns tour of the Omabala area of Anambra state,  comprising Ayamelum, Oyi and Anambra East local government areas of the state

According to him, one of the ways to assure victory for the party was to vote and wait to make sure votes  count. He urged the residents of the communities to move into the massive mobilization of people for the PDP’s victory, assuring that they will not regret voting for him and the party.

The PDP candidate also asked the voters to be prayerful to God, because it is only God that can makes one a king, noting that without God every effort is fruitless.

“I want you to do these for me, pray for  me and the party, mobilise yourselves including none party members to vote for us. After voting for PDP  stay back, protect your votes and make sure your votes are counted. After counting and when results are declared snap the results and post ” he said.

According to him, people should mobilise for votes and ensure that votes are counted correctly, to reflect the wishes of the people. Ozigbo assured the people of the communities that if elected the governor, he would open up the area by building good roads health care centres and schools.

According to him, since the Omabala is food baskets of the state and he would prioritise agricultural development in the area, creating access roads and farm inputs. He regretted that, despite the present governor of the state is from Amabala he has not done anything to make life  meaningful for people in the area.

” I will remove your tears by providing you all the necessities in the area, Ayamelum and others are neglected, they have no roads, no electricity, no good schools and health centre. This is time to get it right. Vote for me and PDP, we will make you smile again” he said.
