LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 336 new cases of Coronavirus Pandemic , bringing all time cases in the country to 201, 630. But out of the 201, 630 confirmed cases, 190, 288 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 654 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8688 active cases, while 5 patients died in the last 24 hours.
“NCDC: 336 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos – 86, Benue – 48, Rivers – 46, Bauchi – 41, Edo – 25, FCT- 19, Akwa Ibom – 13, Ondo -12, Anambra – 11, Ekiti – 8, Kwara – 7, Plateau – 7, Bayelsa -4, Kaduna – 4, Delta – 2, Ogun -2, Kano-1; 201, 630 confirmed; 190, 288 discharged; 2, 654 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.
There are now 227, 947, 208 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4,683, 818 patients have passed on, while 5,881, 705, 329 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University Maryland.
According to the Centre, the United States remains the most afflicted country, reporting 42,045, 018 all time infections, while 673,405 patients are no more(125, 571 new and 1494 deaths*), followed by India with 33, 417,390 all time cases, while 444,529 patients are no more(35, 662 new and 281 deaths*) and Brazil now reporting 21, 080, 219 all time infections, while 589, 573 patients have been killed(11, 202 new and 333 deaths*).
The United Kingdom remains the 4th country worst hit by the pandemic, reporting 7, 435,493 all time infections, while 135, 478 lives have been snatched by the virus(29, 720 new and 166 deaths*), followed by Russia, which has registered 7, 150, 244 total cases, while 193, 891 lives have been wasted(19, 999 new and 780 deaths*) and France, which has documented 7, 037, 931 all time infections and 116,662 deaths(7972 new and 52 deaths*).
Turkey remains the 7th country most hit by the virus, reporting 6, 794, 670 infections, while 61, 140 lives have been lost to the Coronavirus pandemic, followed by Iran with 5, 408, 860 confirmed cases of the virus, while 116, 791 patients have kicked the bucket(12, 847 new and 355 deaths*) and Argentina which has registered 5, 237, 159 infections and 114,286 deaths(2308 new and 185 deaths*).
Colombia remains the 10th country most hit, reporting 4, 937, 596 all time infections, while 125,826 patients have passed on(1544 new and 44 deaths*) and South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa is now reporting 2, 880,349 all time cases, while 86, 116 patients have lost their lives to the Coronavirus pandemic (3286 new and 162 deaths*).
