LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed  377 new cases of Coronavirus pandemic, bringing all time cases in the country to 203, 081. But out of the 203, 081 confirmed cases,  191, 601 patients have been treated and discharged, while 2, 666 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 8814 active cases, while  2 patients passed on in the last 24 hours.

“NCDC: 377 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria: Lagos – 70, FCT – 67,  Kaduna – 38,  Edo – 36, Rivers – 28, Delta – 23,  Kwara – 22,  Ondo – 18, Plateau – 17, Oyo – 16,  Benue – 12, Ekiti -10,  Gombe – 8,  Kano – 7,  Imo – 3,  Jigawa – 2: 203, 081 confirmed; 191, 601 discharged; 2, 666 deaths”, the NCDC has announced.

There are now 230, 003, 319 confirmed cases of Coronavirus pandemic worldwide, 4, 717,379 lives have been wasted , while  5,987,441,661 doses of Coronavirus vaccines have been administered worldwide based on the latest statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, Maryland.

According to the centre, the United States of America remains the most afflicted country, now reporting 42,534,384 all time infections, while 681, 067  patients have kicked the bucket(142, 430 new and 2862 deaths*), followed by India, which has documented 33, 531,498  confirmed cases and 445,768 deaths(26, 964 new and 383*deaths) and Brazil with 21, 283, 567  confirmed cases, while  592, 316 lives are no more(35, 900 new and 1361 deaths*).

The United Kingdom remains the 4th country most hit, with a total of 7,565,554  sealed cases, while 135,959 patients are already dead(33, 712 new and 167 deaths*),  followed by Russia reporting 7, 227, 549 all time infections, while 197, 032 lives have been taken by the virus(19, 308 new and 797 deaths*) ,  and France which has registered  7, 061, 323 confirmed cases, while 116, 977 lives are no more(7125 new  79 deaths*).

Turkey remains the 7th country most hit,  with documented 6, 932, 423 all time cases, while 62, 307 patients have died  from the virus(28, 168 new and 242 deaths*) followed by Iran, now reporting 5, 477,229 confirmations and 118, 191 deaths(17, 433 new and 286 deaths*) and  Argentina which has documented  5, 245, 265 all time infections, while 114,684 patients have lost their lives to the pandemic(2871 new and 166 deaths*).

Colombia remains the 10th country most hit, reporting  4, 945, 203 all time infections, while 126, 006 patients have lost their lives(1581 new and  44 deaths*) and then South Africa, the most afflicted country in Africa. South Africa has accumulated 2, 889,298 total cases and 86, 500 deaths(2967 new and 124 deaths*).
