RIO DE JENEIRO, Brazil – One time world footballer of the year, Lionel Messi was classic in the  1-0 win of Argentina against Brazil in the Copa America final played at the state of the arts Estadio Do Maracana in Brazil.

He did not score the only goal but he assisted his side to defeat Brazil for the first time in 15 years. The tension soaked match came alive in the 22nd minutes when Angel Di Maria with assist from Rodrigo De Paul scored the only goal during the encounter.

It was a game that was laced with rough tackles. A total of 9 yellow cards were given during the encounter. Fred was the first to receive his yellow card in 3rd minutes, followed by Leando Daniel Paredes in the 33rd minutes and Geo Viani   Lo Celso in the 51 minutes.

Others carded are Rodrigo De Paul 68th minutes,  Renan Lodi  70 th minutes, Lucas  Paquets 72nd minutes,  Nicolas Otamendi 81 minutes and Marquinhos 82nd minutes and Gonzales   Montiel in the 89th minutes.
