LAGOS, Nigeria – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) has confirmed 328 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bringing the total cases of the pandemic in the country to 11, 844 cases.
Out of the 11, 844 cases, 3696 patients have been treated and subsequently discharged while 333 others were not lucky to make it alive.
However, a breakdown of the 328 new cases revealed that 121 cases were located in Lagos, 70 in Abuja, 25 in Bauchi, 18 in Rivers, 16 in Oyo, 15 in Kaduna, 14 in Gombe, 13 in Edo, 13 in Ogun, 8 in Jigawa, 6 in Enugu, 5 in Kano, 2 in Osun and 2 in Ondo State, the NCDC said of new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.

Globally there are currently 6, 721, 528 confirmed cases while 393, 916 patients have died based on statistics from the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, John Hopkins University, Maryland.
According to the centre, the United States still leads among the most afflicted countries in the world in terms of population affected and the total number of deaths.
The United States currently has 1, 893, 934 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus pandemic, while 108, 996 patients could not make it alive, followed by Brazil with 614, 941 confirmed cases while 34, 021 patients have died from the pandemic.
The figures compared with what was obtained earlier this morning, showed that Brazil has reported 30, 925 new cases in one day and 1, 473 deaths in a single day, the centre has said of Coronavirus in Brazil.
Russia, which is now the most affected country in Europe based on the population affected has reported 449, 256 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, with 5, 420 deaths, followed by the United Kingdom which has suffered the highest casualty in Europe.

The United Kingdom has reported 284, 734 confirmed cases, while 40, 344 patients have passed on followed by Spain, which currently has 240, 978 confirmed cases with 27, 134 deaths and then Italy which currently has 234, 531 confirmed cases with 33, 774 deaths.
China where the the pandemic was first reported has 84, 174 confirmed cases, 4,638 deaths, while 79, 420 patients have recovered and subsequently discharged, leaving China with 116 cases.
