Croatia beat England 2-1, to play France in final
The encounter between Croatia and England ended 2-1 in favour of Croatia

MOSCOW, Russia – The rugged Croatian team on Wednesday evening outclassed the young lads England, beating them 2-1 to move into the finals of the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.




Croatia will now play France for the gold medal on Sunday while England will play play Belgium on Satuday for the third place match .

It was not easy game but certainly not as interesting as the match between France and Belgium. France got into the lead in the 5th minutes through Kieran Trippler. England succeeded in holding on till the first 45 minutes. England intensified pressure in the second half and England look set for England to move on until the 68 minutes when Croatia equalised through Ivan Perisic. He was assisted by Simir Virsaljko.

Mario Mandzukic put Croatia in the lead in the 109 minutes assisted by Ivan Perisic. England struggled to equalise but it was to no avail. Ball possession was 55 percent in favour of Croatia while England had 45 percent. Croatia had 11 shots on target while England had just two.
