RUSSIA – The Samba boy of Brazil today beat their mates from Mexico 2-0 to advance in the knock-out stage of the Russia 2018 World Cup. But it was not a easy game for Brazil who struggled without success in the first 45 minutes, putting the scoreline at 0-0 in the first half.
Brazil however came in more determined in the second half and the efforts paid off in the 51 minutes when Neymar found back of the net. Mexico came in very hard, determined to equalise but it was to no avail. Inaccurate shots and lack of coordination took the shine of the Mexican team who have played better soccer until this moment.
Roberto Fermino who was brought in as a subtitute to Phillipe Cotinhu sealed the game against Mexico when he added the tally to 2-0 in the 88 minutes.
The Mexican also had greater part of ball possession with 54 percent against 46 percent by Brazil
