RUSSIA – It was an emotional one for Brazilian striker, Neymar when he scored his first world cup goal at the ongoing 2018 World Cup in Russia. Neymar knelt down and wept even as his teammates rally round him to console him.




Neymar had failed to hit target in the encounter and had to cover his face in shame on one of the occasion. Neymar’s goal made it two for Brazil in 96th minutes to seal the game.

But it was Philippe Couthinho who put Brazil in the lead in the second half when his shot found back of the net.

However Brazil had 10 shots on target while 10 shots went off target. Costa Rica had zero shot on target and two shots off target. Ball possession was 69 against 39 in favour of Brazil. Brazil had 9 corner shots while Costa Rica had just one.

Costa Rica had 9 goal kicks while Brazil had just 4 while both team committed 11 fouls each.
