TWELVE YEAR OLD SUICIDE BOMBER SHOT

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria – The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has confirmed casualties in the explorion that hit the University of Maiduguri ‘s Junior Staff Mosque in Maiduguri earlier today.
According to statement released by NEMA, 4 people including the two suicide bomber died in the attack, while 17 others were injured.
NEMA identified the affected mosque to be the one near gate 5 adding that it occurednduring the early morning prayers.
At about 0800hrs a third female suicide bomber of about 12yrs with improvised explosive devices, IEDs strapped to her body, was intercepted at Bara Karaya village behind university of Maiduguri, in Muna Garage general area.
The suicide bomber was sighted by villagers who promptly alerted the military and was gunned down, while EOD personnel of the command secured and rendered safe her unexploded IED vest.
