Washington – Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, Hilary Clinton has offered to work with President-elect, Donald J Trump for the progress of America.
Hilary Clinton, who spoke while addressing supporters in the US, apologised for not winning the election, but as Americans, the result of the election must be accepted as well as a peaceful transition.
“I have congregated Trump and I have offered to work with him for the progress of our country”, she said, adding, “we must accept the result and a peaceful transition of power”.
She observed that though losing hurts , Americans should never stop fighting for what is right and pursue their dreams.
“I am so grateful for our country and all it has given to me. I count my blessing every day that I am an American. And I still believe as deeply as I ever had that if we stand together and work together with respect for our differences, strength in our convictions and love for this nation, our best days are still ahead of us’’, she said.
She noted that Americans are stronger together.
‘’As you know, I believe we are stronger together and we will go forward together, and you should never regret fighting for that.
‘’The scriptures tell us that let us not grow weary in doing good for in due season, we shall reap if we did not lose hope. So as friend let us have faith in each other, let us not lose hope, let us not grow weary, for there are more season to come, and there is more work to do.
‘’I am incredibly honoured and grateful to have this chance to represent all of you in this consequential election, may God bless you and may God bless America”, she said.
